Insomnia is a very common sleep disorder that has some surprisingly complex sources.
The inability to fall asleep or stay asleep at night could be due to a number of things, like stress, your environment, or even some lifestyle choices during the day. In fact, there are six surprising sources of insomnia you might not be aware of.
But the good news is if they ARE the source of your insomnia, there are some easy fixes available. A recent poll from the Gallup organization found that 57% of Americans would feel better if they got more sleep. And they ALSO found that 49% experienced frequent stress.
So the lack of sleep we’re seeing makes sense because I say all the time, stress is a sleep KILLER. So if you’re someone who is in this 49% of stressed out folks, it’s very possible that your stress is keeping you awake at night.
