Sleep Apnoea Sunrise Device | Samuel Gilbert | OneWelbeck
Sleep Lead & Clinical Respiratory Physiologist, Samuel Gilbert explores key benefits of using the Sunrise Device to aid diagnosing sleep apnoea, what to expect in the Sunrise package and process, as well as how to use the device.
The sleep study we offer at OneWelbeck is incredibly convenient and non-invasive, as you’re able to perform the test in the comfort of your home, as well as the ability to walk about at night, unlike other traditional methods. The sleep study will be taken home for one night, where you will put the device on yourself and be measured during the night. A guide will be provided to assist in how to set up and attach the sleep device.
If sleep apnoea is identified from the sleep study, treatment will depend on the severity of the condition. There are a number of treatments available, from lifestyle advice such as losing weight, positional therapy, wearing a dental mouthpiece, or the gold standard treatment for OSA. which is continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.
If you are concerned that you may have a sleep disorder, then get in touch with OneWelbeck Lung Health in which we have a team of sleep specialists who can provide a consultation and set of diagnostic tests appropriate for your sleep symptoms.
