Doug, 46, has reported on sleep disorders several times through the years. But despite his constant tiredness and admitted lack of rest, he never realized that he himself could have a problem—until he interviewed a doctor in 2006 about obstructive sleep apnea.
“Unfortunately, many people really don’t recognize what they’re doing during the day that may be having a significant impact on sleep,” says Carol Ash, DO, medical director of the Sleep for Life center in Hillsborough, N.J.
